How early to arrive for Eurostar at London St Pancras International Station?

90 minutes. To allow enough time for all pre-departure steps, including border and luggage checks, please arrive at the station 90 minutes before departure, rather than just before the gates close.

How early do you need to arrive at the Eurostar in Europe?

75-90 minutes. Check-in for Eurostar journeys opens an hour and 15 minutes before departure. We recommend that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your train leaving so you can have a stress-free check-in.

What happens if you are late for Eurostar?

In the UK, if you arrive after the ticket gates or checks close, you may not be allowed to board your scheduled train and will have to purchase a new ticket for a later departure. If you have arrived before your train's departure time, you can inquire at the ticket office for a seat on the next available train. If there is availability, your ticket will be rebooked with a £30-£45 extra fee.

In France, Belgium, the Netherlands, or Germany, if you are late for Eurostar, please approach a member of TGV InOui, TGV Lyria, ICE, or Railjet staff to confirm if your train has been delayed or cancelled. At your connecting station, their team will assist you in boarding the next available Eurostar train at no additional cost.

Can I change my booking?

Typically, the time and date can be changed, but not the origin or destination. If you decide to travel on a different route, you’ll need to buy a new ticket. The exchange conditions vary according to your class.

If it’s standard class or standard premier class, you can change travel time/date without fee up to 7 days before departure. Within 7 days, adult ticket changes incur £30/€30 exchange fee. No fee for child tickets. And the fare difference must be paid.

If it's business premier class, you can exchange your tickets for free at any time before departure. For routes between the UK, France and Belgium, we also allow exchanges up to 60 days after the booked departure if the customer decides not to travel.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

The refund conditions vary according to your class. If it’s standard class or standard premier class, tickets are non-refundable and the departure or destination stations cannot be changed.

If it's business premier class, you can refund your tickets for free at any time before departure. For routes between the UK, France and Belgium, we also allow refunds up to 60 days after the booked departure if the customer decides not to travel. Customers will need to cancel their tickets and rebook the journey to change the departure or destination stations.

Do I need to print out Eurostar tickets?

No, it is not necessary to print out Eurostar tickets. You can simply show the electronic version of your ticket on your mobile device or provide the ticket reference number at the ticket gates for scanning.
